Lauren Ledwell is a venture capital investor, operator, and community leader dedicated to advancing innovation and gender equity in Canada’s startup ecosystem. Currently at BioAlliance, she is also Principal at Sandpiper Ventures, where she invests in high-potential, disruptive companies at the Seed and Series A stage, and serves as a Managing Partner at Women’s Equity Lab Atlantic Canada, backing founders across health, cleantech, and deep tech.

Lauren also contributes her expertise as a Board Member with Venture for Canada and PEI IT Alliance, while actively investing as part of Hustle Fund’s Angel Squad. With an MBA from the Rotman School of Management and additional training in governance and leadership from Ivey Business School and the Council of Canadian Innovators, she brings a strong combination of strategic insight and operational experience from both Fortune 500 and startup environments. Passionate about building inclusive capital pathways, Lauren continues to champion founders and emerging leaders while balancing life as an investor, operator, and mom.
