The Movement51 Founder Showcase: 18 Founders. Two Stages. One Unmistakable Signal.

This year, we did things a little differently.

And the result was bigger, bolder, and impossible to ignore.

As part of The51’s XX Summit 2026 at Contemporary Calgary, the Movement51 Founder Showcase brought 18 companies to the stage, live in front of some of the most influential investors, funders, and ecosystem leaders in the country.

Two rooms. Two stages. 18 companies.

And yes, popcorn.

Because as it turns out, pitching and popcorn is a surprisingly brilliant combination.

A New Format for a New Moment

Last year, Demo Day closed out the Summit.

This year, the Founder Showcase became something even bigger: a dynamic, multi-stage experience that put founders directly in front of the people who can help accelerate what's next.

Throughout the afternoon, attendees moved between the Dome and the Heather Theatre, discovering ventures tackling some of the world's biggest challenges from climate resilience and healthcare access to AI, energy innovation, education, beauty, tourism, and consumer products.

The format reflected what we know to be true: there isn't one future being built. There are many.

And these founders are building it.

Real Companies. Real Problems. Real Opportunity.

In the Dome, founders presented ventures ranging from climate technology and healthcare innovation to clean energy and consumer brands with global potential.

Audience members heard from:

Meanwhile, in the Heather Theatre, another nine founders showcased solutions transforming industries ranging from marketing and education to travel, construction, healthcare, and workforce development.

Presenting founders included:

Different sectors. Different business models. Different journeys.

One common thread: every founder identified a real problem and chose to build a solution.

More Than A Pitch

The Founder Showcase isn't simply about presenting a business.

It's about creating proximity.

Proximity between founders and investors.
Between ideas and capital.
Between ambition and opportunity.

Throughout the XX Summit, conversations focused on wealth creation, investment, ownership, and the economic opportunities being unlocked by women entrepreneurs.

The Founder Showcase brought those conversations to life.

Every founder who stepped on stage represented what happens when talent, preparation, and possibility meet.

What The Founder Showcase Proves

The future doesn't arrive fully formed.

It gets built.

Often by founders solving problems nobody else has noticed yet.

Often by women who have historically been overlooked by traditional capital systems.

And increasingly, by founders who are creating businesses that are not only financially viable, but capable of changing industries, communities, and lives.

The Movement51 Founder Showcase was a reminder that innovation isn't happening somewhere else.

It's happening here.

In Calgary.
Across Canada.
In rooms filled with founders willing to step onto a stage, share their vision, and invite others to believe in it too.

These are founders worth watching.

More importantly, they're founders worth backing.

Thank you, Legal Sneakers, NRC IRAP, Alberta Innovates, and TD, for your foundational support. This is truly a partnership in its truest form.
