Founder Lab Cohort of 2024: Mix, Mingling, and 11 Weeks of Learning

Class is officially in session! 👩‍💻 April 23 marked the official kickoff of our Founder Lab Class of 2024.

For three action-packed days, we welcomed our fresh cohort of 20 founders and co-founders from all across Canada to Calgary for connection, community building, and soaking up knowledge from our first few lecturers.

Gathered together in person, we covered the capital landscape from Cheri Corbett, storytelling and pitching to different audiences from Jason Thompson, and modern governance from Lisa Oldridge

Alongside lectures, we had the opportunity to hear from a couple of alumni founders from our last cohort, Leilani Mustillo of Animal HealthLink and Addy Graves of Cashew, about their experiences in the lab and the journeys of founding their ventures.

Thank you to the speakers who shared their brilliance and brought buzzing energy into the room, our ecosystem system partners who joined us during the lively reception, and, of course, to our 2024 cohort for showing up, engaging, and bringing their authentic selves to the table as we kicked off this year’s Founder Lab.

It’s going to be a fantastic eleven weeks of learning and growing together.

Get a feel for how the kickoff went, and stay tuned on our social mediaia for updates as the program progresses.

To mark the end of the eleven weeks and all the founders have accomplished, we’re hosting a Demo Day to show off their unlocked skills and confidence.

And you’re invited! 💌

Join us on June 26, 2024, to celebrate our graduating cohort of companies at this year’s Founder Lab. Demo Day is more than a traditional graduation ceremony; it's an interactive experience where you'll witness firsthand the transformative journeys these entrepreneurs have embarked on throughout the sessions this spring. Think: hearing pitches from motivated founders showcasing their cutting-edge products and networking opportunities in a room full of investors, founders, and community builders.

We hope to see you there!
